But you don't have to be drab to be an engineer, I wore Lilly Pulitzer's Rosaline which might be one of the most flattering dresses I have ever worn.
I have absolutely loved my college experience. Many people will tell you that engineering is hard, stressful, that you won't have a life, and will try to talk you out of it. And many of these things are true. Did I spend most of my time at the engineering building? Yes I did. Did I pull all nighters when I should have been out with my friends? Of course. But all of that hard work and dedication to a field of work I actually enjoy has led me to meet the most wonderful people and to my dream job.
The Petroleum Amoeba!!
The big moment!!
Decorated my cap! It's kind of funny because I was worried that other caps would look similar to mine, completely forgetting that I was graduating with 400 guys and that of course none of them would have Lilly caps! Also, it was about 200 degrees in that robe and by the time this picture was taken I was pretty sure I was going to pass out from dehydration.
All in all, I am very nervous and excited to start the next chapter of my life. In a couple of weeks I'll be moving and starting my awesome dream job with one of the best companies I could ever ask to work for, and I know that whatever obstacles or challenges wait ahead, what I have learned inside and outside the classroom will help be overcome them.
